
White Lantern Film launches Film Festival featuring Future Shorts Bournemouth
On March the 6th 2009 White Lantern Film is pleased to announce The Launch of The ‘Future Shorts Film Festival’ at the renown Bournemouth Pier Theatre. Films include'Je t'aime, Je t'aime' and an exclusive selection of short films from around the world inspired by love sex and everything in-between. The festival promises to celebrate, drive and nurture new talent.
White Lantern Film is pleased to announce this year’s legendary Oscar nominated ambassador of the festival Roger Pratt. Roger is a highly sought after director of photography in Hollywood. Roger has filmed feature films including Troy, Harry Potter, Batman and 12 monkeys. An experts Panel will include renowned multi awarded winning BAFTA Winning editor Tony Palmer who edited Feature films including The killing of John Lennon and Nicolas Roegs Puff Ball. Emmy, BAFTA and RTS winner Eric Harwood who is famous from producing one of the most celebrated documentaries of our time ‘ The Boy Whose skin fell off’ will also be on the expert Panel. The night will be an ideal for Film goers to meet the real Masters of the movies!

The international network currently comprises of 29 countries conducting regular Future Shorts screenings, from New York to Dubai. Future Shorts Exhibition aims to provide an alternative cinematic experience, where screenings are often accompanied by other multimedia elements including music, industry experts, performers and installations.
Films in Febuary include the beautiful and haunting 'Little Minx Exquisite Corpse: Come Wander With Me' - part of a fascinating project inspired by a surreal parlor game, ‘Wrestling,’ Grímur Hákonarson's love story about two gay wrestlers living in rural Iceland and 'Happiness' the happy-go-lucky free-for-all music video from Goldfrapp.
In association with BFI, a rarely seen short, from Jeff Keen, the unsung hero of the British experimental film scene, will be shown ahead of the main program. White Lantern film will also be running a drinks reception/networking session before the event and running a showcase of short films by local talent which will be showcased to the 750 guests and industry experts.
